Saxophonist Angelika Niescier is one of Germany’s new jazz figures. In her compositions and improvisations, she fuses different jazz currents with musical elements from other cultures. She has composed music for theater and film, and has participated in several multidisciplinary projects with poets and musicians such as Gerd Dudek, Akira Sakata, Simon Nabatov and Thomas Morgan.
