The children’s choir was created in 1998. This is a continuous project of the Festival in which currently participate 25 boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 16 years, who live in downtown Mexico City and receive free musical education. They have a repertory covering several musical periods and styles, as well as musical arrangements made specially for the choral group. In this edition, the Festival presents a program linked to the Bicentennial celebrations and includes corridos, Yaqui and Seri songs, as well as popular songs from Ibero-America.
